Outdoor Sketching While Camping

Outdoor sketching at the campground. Drawing trees.

Goldstream Provincial Park

I managed to get in a little bit of sketching & camping at Goldstream Park on Vancouver Island, during the summer. The provincial park has an amazing waterfall and creek area near the campgrounds, with clear, cold water surrounded by rainforest foliage. One of my favorite parks to camp at!

Although the trees were too tall to fit in my small sketchbook, I drew the bottoms and matched them up to treetops. I used a grey-toned sketchbook, graphite pencil, and white pencil. I even managed not to drop it in the water—yay me!
