Victoria Book Prizes Evening Gala

"Maybe A Whale" was nominated for the Victoria Book Prizes and I attended the evening event in October, 2024. This was a prize for fiction, non-fiction, YA, and kids books written or illustrated by someone in Victoria BC.

It took place at the Union Club in Victoria and I was at table #13. Turned out to be unlucky, as our book did not receive the award. The winner for YA and children's books was Raina Delisle for "Breaking News: Why Media Matters".
